Aristotle is a writing tool operated by Marcus Andrews through M3KA. This policy covers the Aristotle app at m3ka.com/labs/aristotle and its supporting pages.
We don’t collect your writing.
Your draft text, title, and answers about your audience and goals are processed in your browser. Aristotle’s editing checks run there too. The app does not upload that content to us, an analytics service, or an AI provider.
We don’t read your drafts, keep server-side copies, sell your writing, or use it to train AI models. Aristotle does not record your keystrokes or make session recordings of the editor. No account is required to write.
Your browser saves your current draft.
Aristotle uses your browser’s local storage to remember your current draft, title, and intention answers between visits on the same browser and device. This is local saving, not a cloud backup. We cannot recover a lost draft for you.
Use Reset in the app to replace the saved draft and intention answers with a blank workspace, or clear m3ka.com’s site data in your browser to remove local storage. Copy anything you want to keep first. Clearing site data can also remove other preferences for m3ka.com.
Someone with access to your browser profile may be able to see the saved draft. Your browser’s enhanced spelling tools, extensions, device backups, and anything you copy into another service have their own privacy settings and practices.
We measure use of the tool.
We use PostHog to understand which features are useful and improve Aristotle. It receives limited usage events, such as visiting the app, opening a review, skipping a suggestion, copying a draft, or resetting the workspace.
These events can include the review category, suggestion rule, word count when you copy, basic browser and device information, page path, referring domain, and visit timing. A random browser identifier stored locally helps distinguish repeat visits. These identifiers are not your name or an account, but the analytics are not completely anonymous.
Draft content, titles, intention answers, page titles, and URL query strings are excluded from these events. Automatic capture of page content and session replay are disabled. This analytics setup respects supported browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
You can enable those browser privacy signals or block analytics requests. Aristotle’s writing and editing features work without analytics. Clearing site data removes the local identifier; it does not itself delete events already received by PostHog.
Hosting and the optional demo video.
Vercel hosts the site. Like other web hosts, it processes connection information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser details to deliver and protect the service. Those requests do not include the writing in your editor.
The demo video is hosted by Loom, part of Atlassian. The embedded player loads only when you open the demo. Loom may then receive connection and viewing information and use its own cookies or similar technologies. Aristotle does not pass your draft to the player.

For a privacy question or a request about information associated with your use of Aristotle, contact Marcus Andrews. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to its use. We will respond as required by applicable law.
If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message you choose to send and use them to respond. You do not need to include a draft to ask a privacy question.
We’ll update this page and its date when these practices change. Any future feature that changes how writing is handled will need to be explained before you use it.
